You can download MSBN for this assignment here. It runs under Windows 95/98/NT/XP. You first unzip the file into a temporary directory, and then run setup.exe. You may get some warnings from the setup program; just say "Ok" and it seems to work fine.

By default, MSBN creates nodes with values normal and abnormal (for fault diagnosis), rather than true and false. To correct this, prior to creating any nodes, if one selects Node > Default Creation Parameters, and enters True/False in the Default States combo box, then states will show up as true/false in the node editor and spreadsheet for the results.

Note that Microsoft has a newer version MSBNx now but some previous students found that the old version (MSBN) is easier to use. You can find info for the newer version here. You are welcome to try and use the new version for the assignment.
